box in making
These heart shaped boxes in aluminium, resin and wood is folded around a wooden mould. Aluminium is not good for soldering, as copper and silver is, so I find other ways of shaping the body, in this case ends meet around a rubber bar. The aluminium is sometimes left raw and brushed, or given a coat of enamel, which is heated up to make it durable.
In these boxes spalted beech, laburnum and mahogany has been used. Different colours of resin finish the lids.
The boxes are 5 cm high and 7 cm long.
